藝術留學珠寶設計是指用貴金屬、珠寶及其它材料設計制作成首飾工藝品，是指通過對材料的認知和對美感的把握從而對珠寶首飾進行創造，一般是對材料進行再設計、改造和上色，從而達到設計的效果。首飾藝術設計同源于工藝美術設計，隨著市場和設計對象的需求逐漸分化，首飾設計的方式產生了許多差異，如設計的原則與定位設計程序，設計內容與表現形式等，但同時也仍然保持了許多一致性。從藝術的共性出發，在追求各自發展的過程中逐步完善，在發展中不斷地相互借鑒和促進，將是未來首飾設
珠寶設計留學畢業之后進入品牌珠寶公司就業，也可成立個人工作室，或成為獨立設計師，大部分的設計師更傾向于后兩者，開設首飾工作室不會受制于品牌公司的設計風格，可以自由大膽的設計具有個人風格的作品，投入成本亦較低，具有一定的商業模式。做一名獨立的設計師，在擁有本身的工作前提下，利用業余時間進行作品創作，作品可以傾向于學術，不必參入過多的商業因素。
繪畫基礎、設計效果圖、立體建模、色彩設計、材料實驗、珠寶設計基礎知識、珠寶營銷策略、加工工藝、蠟雕、藝術理論、配飾設計基礎、時尚鑒賞等等。
